1. Type the words you want to find. Put the main word first.
If you want a picture of baby tigers, type tiger babies picture2. Use a minus sign to take away things you don't want.
If you search for cougar and get cars, type cougar -car3. Use the correct word, not kid slang.
Type rabbits, not bunnies4. Spell the words right.
If Google doesn't know a word you type it will ask you, "Did you mean ...?"
You can click that word if it is right. Then it will search for it.If there are two ways to spell the word, try the American way first to get more hits.
Try the Canadian or English way next to get even more hits.
Eg. Type color wheel first. Then try colour wheel5. Put quotation marks around words that must be together, like a name or phrase.
Type "Martin Luther King" or "Chronicles of Narnia"6. If you just want the facts, type the word facts in your search. If you want websites made for kids, type the word kids.
Eg. Type lion habitat facts or koalas kids7. Don't believe everything you read on the Internet!
Check a few different places to be sure that something is true.8. If you find something bad, rude, yucky or gross, get rid of it.
